Vegan Spelt Waffles

Waffles? Vegan? Gluten free? Healthy? & Delicious?

YES PLEASE!

Ingredients

-2 1/4 cup spelt flour

-1 tablespoon baking powder

-1/4 teaspoon pink salt

-1/2 cup unsweetened applesauce

-1 cup vanilla almond milk

-1/8 teaspoon almond extract (optional)

-3/4 cup sparkling/seltzer berry water (or any flavor desired)

-1/4 cup melted vegan butter

Directions

Mix all ingredients in a bowl until well combined.

Prepare waffle maker and oil it to prevent sticking.

Pour 1/2 cup batter in the waffle maker & cook until desired texture. I like mine light & soft. I also like to butter it when it’s nice & hot out the waffle maker.

Raspberries

& of course warm pure maple syrup.

Feel free to top the waffles with your favorite fresh fruit, nuts & seeds.
