These frozen banana bites are a perfect cold treat to satisfy your sweet craving. Simple to make & oh so delicious. Eat it for breakfast or a snack. I’m sure if you have children they will love them.
This frozen banana bite recipe was created within a few minutes of me wondering what I will eat for breakfast. I was only going to put peanut butter on top but a lot of other ideas came to mind. Adding almonds gives it a nice crunch & the cinnamon & cocoa powder brings everything perfectly together. Then I thought popping them in the freezer would be awsome because frozen bananas are naturally sweet and delicious.
I’m happy this recipe came out good. This will be a go to snack for me & I’m pretty sure if you make this recipe you’ll say the same.
You can always substitute peanut butter for any of your favorite nut butters like, almond butter or cashew butter. You can also substitute the crushed almonds for hemp seed, chia seeds, cashews, pistachios, or sunflower seeds. I personally enjoy the almonds but be creative & enjoy this yummy treat with friends, family or even by yourself.
1 sweet banana
Cocoa powder (optional)
I just sliced a sweet banana in thick slices.
Spread some peanut butter on top, as much as you like.
Topped with crushed almonds. You can add any nuts or seeds like crushed cashews, pistachios, hemp seeds, chia seeds, sunflower seeds. I just like the crunch and taste of the almonds.
Sprinkle cinnamon and cocoa powder on top.
Pop them in the freezer for an hour. (1hr & 30minutes max)
Enjoy. They are super yummy. A nice little healthy snack for your sweet cravings. 😊
